Microneedling — also known as collagen induction therapy — uses a device fitted with fine needles to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. At Pure Drip Aesthetics, our microneedling is enhanced with PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) — commonly known as Salmon DNA. PDRN is extracted from salmon and works by binding to adenosine A2A receptors on skin cells, activating anti-inflammatory pathways and accelerating fibroblast activity. The skin is assessed, makeup removed and thoroughly cleansed to prepare for treatment.
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied and left for 30–45 minutes to ensure maximum comfort during the needling phase.

The skin will appear pink or flushed for 24–48 hours after treatment — this is a normal healing response. Following these guidelines will support optimal results:
Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment
Apply SPF 30 or higher daily — especially in the week after treatment
Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and moisturiser for 48 hours
Avoid retinoids, AHAs and BHAs for 3–5 days
Avoid saunas, steam rooms and intense exercise for 24–48 hours
Drink plenty of water — hydration supports the skin's healing process
Results build gradually over 4–8 weeks as collagen remodels
What to expect after treatment: Redness and mild swelling for 24–48 hours is completely normal. Your skin may feel slightly warm and sensitive. Most clients return to normal activities within 24 hours, though more intensive needling may extend this slightly.
A single microneedling session delivers visible improvement, but a course of 3–4 treatments provides the most significant and lasting results. Each session builds on the last, as collagen synthesis accumulates between appointments.
